It is a common belief among football experts and Gator fans that Percy Harvin will go pro after his junior year. This makes the 2008 season his last as a Gator. Of course no one right now, but Percy, knows if he will stay for four years or go early… but it’s never too early to look at NFL mock drafts for 2009.
I did a quick Google search and found two mock drafts tat are complete opposites. One of them has Percy Harvin going #28 overall to the Indianapolis Colts and the other mock draft has Percy Harvin going #7 overall to San Francisco. How can there be a difference of 20+ picks in these two drafts. One of the authors must be a Gator Hater.
I think that if Percy Harvin meets expectations this year and avoids injury all season long that he is a guaranteed top 10 draft pick. The only thing that could knock him down some is injury.

Well, it’s still very early to make some concrete predictions.
The one guy had Harvin #28 largely due to that injury history.
However, there’s an upturn to all of this: If Percy doesn’t have injury issues, he’d end up as an excellent value pick for those very same Indianapolis Colts. He’ll provide that organization with a lot of hope, since Marvin Harrison (Also a draft steal at 19th in ‘96) will be 37 by the time Harvin plays his first game.
And of course, catching passes from the most consistent QB in the NFL not named Tom Brady.
Percy Harvin would be a perfect fit for my beloved colts. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him falling into their laps, I mean what WR in the draft would not like to have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time throwing passes to him all day?
Harvin is the perfect replacement for Marvin Harrison, he is explosive, fast in the open field and is a legit threat to score every time he touches the ball. I think with Peyton throwing him the ball he could become one of the best young wideouts in the league right away. To me this is an absolutle perfect fit and I will have my fingers crossed on draft day that Indianapolis will select him.
percy harvin is going to jaguars. jacksonville jaguars
I’ve watched Percy through high school in Va. Beach, as well as followed his career at Florida. I truly believe he is a top 10 caliber athlete for the next level. However, being a 49er fan; I hope we’re smart enough to grsb him with the 7th pick in this years draft. Go Niners, don’t let this gem get away……. He would add that much value to a up and coming team. Besides, we could use the help at the wideout position. Good luck Percy, no matter where you land……..
